Music Lyrics In Spanish Artists Knowledge Base
I live in California; how can I contact a music publisher and a music promoter in Spain and/or Italy? I have written a theme album entitled "A Portrait of Spain," and the lyrics have been translated into Spanish and Italian. The American music scene is sadly lacking artists and venues for music of this caliber so I am attempting to reach the European market in order to find a promoter and a publisher who are interested in pop music written for an operatic voice. I'm in the process of writing a show built around the album. There will be spots for comedy, verbal intercourse with the audience, a back-up chorus, and flamenco/modern dancing. The music, lyrics in 3 languages, and arrangements are complete; the only thing left to do is record a demo CD. I would appreciate any and all referrals.
Does anyone have suggestions on Spanish guitar music? I am a bit interested in guitar music from Spain,Barcelona etc. of this part of the world. I have no artists recommendations can people post artists names or sites I can review strictly guitar music it can have lyrics but nothing to fancy i would like a cultural taste.
Cool spanish-y/techno-y/hip-hop-y music suggestions? Alright, so I'm craving some mad techno beats right now, especially after watching America's Got Talent, where the last performer on the show did some amazing breakdancing to a really awesome techno/hip hop song, where the sparse lyrics were in spanish. If anyone knows any good artists that I could limewire, I'd appreciate it. :]

Who sings "it's the right time to fall in love"? (Dance music of mid '90s)? I heard this song in the spanish radio station in Ny, but it was dance music song. It had the lyrics of "slamma jamma to the pumped up funk" and a female vocalist singing "it's the right time.... to fall in love, it's the right time to fall in loooove. Does anybody know which dance music artist sings this song?
Does anyone know the artist of this song in spanish? I tried posting this question in music, and again in lyrics, but without success. It seems like there are more spanish speakers here, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The chorus goes a little something like this: "Que va? no me dice nada, que pasa que ya no te veo....te veo...." It's kind of a dance song, and I think the artist may be puerto rican. I think most of the song is just the guy repeating that line. MS35, you must live in the same hispanic musically challenged place that I do. The radio stations here are dominated by mexicans. It's quite frustrating actually, given that I used to live in Miami, and was able to experience music from all over latin america. I heard this song when I was visiting Puerto Rico actually. If the artist isn't mexican there is a slim chance they will play it here.
Spanish song help!? Hi all, I was in a diner a few months ago here in New York City, and I heard a great song playing on the radio with a woman singing something like "You're so different than me, Maybe I'm Falling in Love" entirely in English. I couldn't really make out all the lyrics aside from the singer constantly singing a few sets of "Maybe, something something..." until she climaxed with to "May-be,I'm fal-ling-in-loooove!" Bad rendition,I know... but it had a very pronounced Latin/Salsa/Merenque sound playing in the background. I know it was on a Spanish radio station because the songs that played afterwards were sung entirely in Spanish, and had that traditional rhythmic "Spanish music sound". I know this isn't a lot of information, but can anyone help me identify the name of the song and the artist? I really dug that tune and the woman's voice! Thanks in advance!
I am looking for bilingual (Spanish and English) songs? I'm working on learning to speak Spanish, and want to find some newer music that has Spanish, and its translations in English. I remember Gloria Estefan often did this...are there any more recent artists who do this? I like Shakira, but most of her songs seem to be one or the other. If I can't get bilingual songs, I would settle for a site that offers the lyrics and their translations. Thanks in advance for any help you can give! There are so many great answers and tips here, I can't decide on a best! To those concerned that I'm using music solely to learn, this is not the case. I just tend to learn inflections and pronunciations better with music. Using music helped me learn French more quickly, and I'm hoping this will be the case with Spanish. I know hearing a new language at work, even when I cannot be practicing (such as when I'm studying another subject), hearing the new language "in the background" will serve as reinforcement. Gracias otra vez! (Thanks again!)
Does anyone know the lyrics to the songs in the Frenando Ruiz animation, Oliver Twist? The animation is a little old, and was possibly originally in Spanish. It was produced by Elias Fernandez and Miguel Angel Casillas, directed by Frenando Ruiz, edited by Leandro De Gante and had Jesus Ramos as the chief animation artist. The music was written by Placido Domingo Jnr. and I would love to have the song lyrics (either in English or the original language) Don't you think I've TRIED?! This is my LAST resort!
MTV tres music video? ok so i was watching MTV tres. it was about a year ago. i dont rememeber the lyrics or the name or the artist. all i know is that is was in spanish. and the music video involved the singer/rapper riding on a bike around a bunch of hot, tan girls dressed in all white dancing in a line. can some one help me figure out what the title of the song was? please! i cant seem to find it any where.
Would uploading lyrics to my educational webpage violate copyright laws? I am in the process of creating a wiki of ideas for using Spanish language pop songs in the Spanish classroom. For class purposes, I have long typed up lyrics, put the song title, album it comes from, artist name and origin, as well as a googled picture of the artist and a clipart of the country of origin. I would like to include these on my wiki, but I'm not sure if this would be in violation of copyright law. I have a very vague notion of how much more lenient copyright laws are with regard to educational purposes, and I would in no way profit (financially) from this wiki (I hope the networking will prove valuable, though). Also, I see this as a sort of ad for these songs and artists, convincing more people to use their music. So can I get away with uploading lyrics to my site http://academiapop.wikispaces.com/?

I am mexican and I speak spanish. I am learning english, can you do the corrections of my speech??? thanks? Pop Art Is a new artistic concept, is the essence of an extensive cultural movement of the sixties, it have a connection with the state of mind of a period that is a reply to the slogans of the Medias whose histories make history and whose models influence in the people. The popular culture and the way of life linked closely in the sixties. This cultural demonstration is absolutely occidental; USA is the center of this program. The pop art analyzes artistically the fact that the World has been growing by the capitalist and technological conditions of the industrial society. The beginnings of the Pop Art were in New York and in England. The politic and economic stabilization in the postwar period lead to a “revaloracion” of something that in general is designed as popular. The psychologists studied the society consume and created the marketing system to take a commercial advantage of the customers wishes. These getting closer to the consumers and buyers created products of consume demand and the programs of the media, this affected in the ways of the individual behavior and in the interpersonal relationship. Everyone could adore collecting knickknacks, reading comics, eating hot-dogs, drinking Coca-Cola, etc. In this is based Pop Art. The themes of Pop Art are based in everyday life, Pop Art captures the realities of a period and the cultural change, the predisposition of a new generation, and this culture transforms the style and the art. In this period people fell free for expressing themselves in this Cultural Revolution. This lead to new modes and forms of expression tan it was almost ridiculous that the artists, critics and professors let the trivial culture surround them and cram their houses with popular and nostalgic art, with relics, bad taste objects and publicity symbols, playing with banality and enjoy reading comics, science fiction literature, cheap novels and the TV mania. The music and the lyrics of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones translate in the sixties the state of mind, the euphoria, the nerve, the power and the realities of the youth people, that’s why artists like Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton and Andy Warhol designed disc jackets for musical groups like The Beatles and Velvet Underground of course using the Pop Art style. The Pop Art is expressed in painting, sculpture, music, cinema, photography and literature. The Pop Art paintings have many styles, for example some of them are based in comics, other are made by collage and painting combination, some of them are made in different levels. Most of the sculptures are based in thing that we normally see, like typing machine, cigarettes, clothing, toilets, or even tables. My conclusion is that Pop art is an every day item that is drawn in brash and colorful way. It is inspires by comic strips, advertising, and popular entertainment. I like this kind of arte because I think that is an art that don’t follow all the rules and we can see the reality of our world. thanks I am going to give a lot of points <3<3

Why does the Afro-American Music industry support Homophobia? Hip Hop Artists author and support homophobic lyrics. Political Party: Black Democratic Homophobic. Gangsta Rap Artists author and support homophobic lyrics. Political Party: Black Democratic Homophobic. Reggae Artists author and support homophobic lyrics. Political Party: Black Democratic Homophobic. Reggaeton Artists author and support homophobic lyrics. Political Party: Black Democratic Homophobic. Some of you may argue that Reggaeton is Latin Rap, but actually these musicians are "Afro-Americans who are fluent in Spanish." Amen. Rap is an extension of Poetry, and poetry is an intellectual homosexual's art form. Therefore Rap is Gay. Homophobia only proves the confusion of Afro-American artists in hating the very fore-fathers of their own art form: Homosexuals. Without Poetry, Rap wouldn't exist. Without homosexuals, Poetry wouldn't exist. Therefore, without homosexuals, Rap music wouldn't exist. Hip Hop Artists, Gangsta Rap Artists, Reggae Artists, and Reggaeton Artists owe their success to homosexuals. Amen.
Looking to identify a Latino rock song, but don't speak Spanish :(? I used to enjoy listening to "Super Estrella Una," a local Latin radio station in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Since I can't speak Spanish, I couldn't understand any commercials or djs, and the music was pretty good. One song in particular really stuck with me, but I could never seem to get enough information to figure out what the song title or artist was. I can't even remember lyrics today. I'm posting here because I just can't think of another way to figure it out (other than trying to sing the tune). The song is a rock song. I think that it is, or was a couple of years ago, very popular. The final line in the chorus is "Whoa-ho-ho-ho," with each syllable dropping a full step (I think). The song is patterned with in such a way that the first part of each verse is barely sung, more spoken, with the music quiet at the beginning, then breaking out into a guitar chorus. I can't be sure, but I think one of the words in the lyrics is "soledad," or something similar. Thanks!
Will i be successful in life? After i get done with high school and college i want to know how hard(or easy) it will be to get a job. and ide also like to know what i should go to college for. In school my grades are great and always have been i've pretty much always taken honors classes except science(it's not that im bad at science i just don't like it). im pretty sure my grades never been below a B(usually they're A's though) except for math last year (it was a 76 in an honors math class) I'm very good with fine arts. I am Somewhat of a musician i write music, lyrics, play guitar and so on, and next year im going to be in an AP music theory class. I've been told im a great artist. This year is my first year in an art class(i skipped basic art straight into advanced art) and the teachers seems to love my work. I am a fairly decent Story Writer (i suck at grammar though). i can come up with some very interesting(in my opinion) stories and have a very broad vocabulary so describing things is a breeze. Next year ill be taking a Spanish I class and in my senior year a Spanish II class (college prep.) The things that i WANT to do but probably won't have any luck in are a musician or some kind of job in graphic design. It's very difficult to get into the music industry and im afraid that if i major in art tha ill get out of college and not be able to find a job, therefore wasting a large chunk of my life. Some other things ide like to do would be something in law(lawyer, criminal justice etc.), a Psychologist(clinical), Architect(im currenly in a drafting class next year ill be in another one), and a few more but i feel like ive got to rap this thing up. Basically i would like to know how hard it will be for me to get into college then find a job. then i want to know what should i go to college for?
I can't find the name or artist of a song? I heard this song on the radio and I don't know who sings it or what the name of the band is called, or any of the lyrics, but it is rock music in spanish, and it sounds like it has either bagpipes or violins in it. It was a mail vocie and it was rock music It was a male vocie and it was rock music
What's the name of this hip-hop/rap song!? I don't know many of the lyrics to the song but here's what I do know: - The song has some good bass and there's a line that repeats a lot that goes "boom, boom boom, boom boom boom". I think a girl sometimes says it? - It features 3 artists, 2 big black guys and 1 asian, maybe spanish guy... (Bad quality on the TVs, I can't tell... he's not white or black though) - It was featured this month in Foot Action, on their trailer - It sounds like one of the rappers calls himself "Self". He opens up his verse with something like "It's S-E-L-F". He looks asian, maybe spanish? - The music video is in black and white I know it's not much to go by but if anyone knows please let me know!

Help me identify this techno song? I'm ashamed at how very little help I can be at explaining this song to those willing to help find it, however I'll do my best. I know that they play it alot on BPM (The Sirius station), and that it is more than likely a Hispanic/Spanish techno song judging by what few lyrics it has. The way I would describe it is by categorizing it with the Dragon Ball intro song. At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkrbIzKr-j0, I'd suggest listening 11 seconds in and hearing the music as he says "Find the Dragon Balls, look out for them all", and that's generally what this song has. Also, at one point the artist seems to introduce what I've researched to be called Hyoshigi (though I may be wrong), which is a consistant slapping of these Japanese wooden 'clappers' I'm sorry for how few clues I can give, and apologize for not being well versed in the Spanish language. I don't expect anyone to find the song, but would GREATLY appreciate any help I can get. Sorry about that. Perhaps this will work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkrbIzKr-j0
Name or Artist of Song? I've been hearing this song on the radio a lot. I think it's a Norteno song. It's a slow song in Spanish and it plays on the station that plays a lot of Norteno music. It's song by a single guy( I think) and it sounds like his voice almost/ but not quite breaks when he signs the words amo. I think the lyrics go something like this: de amar, hoy (or oye) es mi (or me) vida te amo, te amo te amas de ayar (???). I'm not sure on the last part but if you could help me find the song that would be great. Thanks
question about decent spanish music? need something with spanish lyrics and a hispanic artist. music comparable to sufjan stevens, CSS, modest mouse would be appreciated. if you could even give me a devendra banhart song with spanish lyrics, i'd appreciate it
Can anyone name some good pop Spanish songs that I could listen to? I am trying to improve my Spanish so I was hoping I could start listening to more music and memorize lyrics and learn what the words meant but it would be easier with songs that I like. Some of my favorite Spanish artists are Belinda, Reik, and David Bisbal but the songs dont have to be by them.
What are some popular some Spanish songs? I'm learning Spanish, and my friend suggested the song Lloro Por Ti, and I LOVE it - the sound, the lyrics, the beat, all of it. So, I'm looking for just some GOOD songs....also if you want to list some good artists, that's cool too. It doesn't matter what KIND of Spanish music it is, as long as its good. :] Thanks!

Which reggaeton artists are the least vulgar? The most? I think that reggaeton music is very catchy, but my Spanish is a little rusty. Everyone says reggaeton is very vulgar and contains explicit lyrics. Which reggaeton artists are the least vulgar? And which are the most vulgar?
Name of spanish song "Here we come and we don't give you much!"? A couple of years ago I was listening to music on my local spanish music station and a song came up. The lyrics sounded much like (if i remember right) "Here we come, and we don't give you mucho!" I'm not sure if my brain is translating that into english or if that is it, but it seems right. Thats all I remember of the song, if somebody could post the artist and name of song that would be great.
is this SPANISH song about friendship or love? http://www.twin-music.com/artist_j/juan_luis_guerra_lyrics/amigos_lyrics.html I want to send it to my friend, but am not sure whether it is about friendship or is there love behind? thanks, I know what it means, but I meant those lines "Y juntos contar gaviotas tal vez, Mas tarde encender la hoguera "...
Rap/Hip-Hop/Raggaeton Music? I am trying to find artists that are rap and hiphop and raggaeton. also they should mix english and spanish lyrics into their songs. Artisits like pitbull and daddy yankee are a few of my favorites trying to find some similar artisits who mix english and spanish
Similar music to Santana? I'm making a mix CD for my friend. :)) She's really into stuff that sounds like Santana -- really great guitar music, but not TOO rock, with a bit of Spanish touch to it -- and with lyrics. Can you recommend some songs/artists like this? Thanks :)

ALSO- I need to be able to get the song off of itunes. PPS. i know about sonicedgemusic.com. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
what is this song called? well i work at my dads shop and it plays music on a internet radio on pandora and the next time i work there is monday and i cant wait that long. and pandora always changed the songs on the radio. like its always different. well not completly changed but some of the songs are gone and new ones appear. this is all i know about it so far i remeber a employee friend telling me that the lead singer is philiphino it goes like on and on and on my shadow stranger thats the only thing i remeber i can hum the whole tune but i cant remeber any other words i mean the lead singer being philoiphono could be all bs so dont rely on that completly. but almost every "adult" seems to know this song, cause im only 16 and you know what we listen too. i mean i dont like black rap, but ya know its all the same stuff to you guys. Just has a good beat, pumps you up and stuff like that. but this song was special and was sung by what seemed to be a white guy. if its not philiphino. cause the white people that come on the radio...jesus...they cant even sing. that terrible deep rockstar voice bleh. like nickeback and like the fray and that new crap. kill yourself. There are no good songs on the radio now a days by white people. i mean for real i thought about it. and i only listen to usually black people, cause they all have really nice beats or sing really good. either one. And i mean im not spanish so i dont listen to that. korean songs all have a nice beat but i hate that rap shit. and white music is limited to like country. and i despise rock more towards the metal side. freaking metallics are so freaking werid. just kill yourself already. i mean i want to know what this song it. but if you know any other songs like this. i like this genre. its has a good beat to it. it has good lyrics i suppose. good singings. and just a fun song. Its hard to find songs like this. I like it but nobody my age listens to this and my resources are low. I try channel surfing on the radio...nothing....maybe there is 1 but then they play like 10 other crap songs and then 1 more pops up. so if you know any good artists that play music like this please post....pleaseeeee thanks
Can anyone translate my paper in Spanish? A draft is due tomorrow :S Any help at all would be great, Tkx? Björk Gudmundsdóttir is an Icelandic musician who emerged as one of the most internationally well-known Electronic music artists of all time. Despite her experimentation in a multitude of genres over the past 20 years of her musical career, she is mostly identified within the Electronic sub-genres. Electronic Music evolved from the earliest instrumental inventions dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, the development of the Teleharmonium and the Chorelcello. These early electronic instruments produced sound with the fundamental idea of the tone wheel; they consisted of a series of ribbed metal disks rotating in a magnetic field that caused difference in electrical signals, thus creating tones and frequencies which depended on the number of teeth the wheels possessed. With the progression of time, newer and more efficient inventions replaced this primitive method of creating sounds. The invention of the vacuum tube was utilized in other early instruments such as the Theremin and Ondes-Martenot. It eventually led to the generation of electrical signals, which then introduced radio broadcasting, and later, brought about the digital synthesizers that we know of today. During the post war era, Electronic music was artistically experimented with by artists and composers that began to deviate from the use of traditional instruments. Later in the 1960’s it was further promoted with the recreation of classical baroque pieces on moog synthesizers, displaying the wide range of potential in these electronic “instruments”. As prices of equipment became more affordable and the acceptance of electronic sounds spread, other sub-genres also began to evolve, which allowed even more artists to experiment with the unique hums, static, and sound effects that electronic synthesizers produced. In the United States and the UK, sub-genres like Techno and House music from the 1980’s and 1990’s flourished, which then evoked the mainstream electronic music that prevails today. Björk Gudmundsdóttir, most commonly referred to by her first name alone, was one of the main artists that popularized electronic music into the mainstream. Her music is most often categorized as Electronica, yet another sub-genre of Electronic, along with other artists like Portishead, Massive Attack, and Thievery Corporation. Björk developed her musical interest in Classical school at an early age, and by the time she was 11 years old, she had a platinum album in Iceland for her self-titled album, Björk, with the help of her mother. She was offered a second opportunity for a second album, but turned it down; she felt guilt for experiencing the success of an entire album in which she only had written one song. Björk wanted to create her own musical accomplishments, and promised herself that she “would never front anything unless [she] was the one who did it." At the age of 13, with the promise in mind, she started forming punk bands such as Exodus, Tippi Tikarrass, and KUKL; then in 1987 she formed the band Sugarcubes which after the first album gave her international recognition. After the Sugarcubes had split in 1992, Björk began her solo career and released her debut album, titled “Debut,” in 1993. The songs reflect her musical experimentation; in an interview, Björk admits to feeling like an “amateur” in her first independently produced solo album, but despite her modesty, songs from Debut such as “Human Behaviour”, “Venus as a Boy”, “Big Time Sensuality” and Violently Happy” are still declared as favorites after nearly 17 years. 2 years later, in 1995, Björk released a second album she called “Post,” which many of the songs made UK’s top charts. After another 5 years, she released her third and fourth solo albums, Homogenic and Selmasongs; then in 2001, Vespertine was released. Vespertine is a collection of sensual, emotionally-charged melodies accompanied by Björk’s usual haunting, yet enticing voice. Björk explains in an interview that the character Vespertine that she wrote about “is a lady waiting and hibernating in the snow in winter…” The overall album reveals a quieter Björk, compared to previous and later albums in which she howls in compelling emotion, but still commands the same hypnotic effect when heard. Björk explained that the difference in the albums Homogenic and Vespertine was the overall mood she was trying to capture; in the simplest terms, she described Homogenic as the outdoor, nature extrovert album, whereas Vespertine was the “indoor internal interest album.” She keeps Vespertine focused with using only subtle sound-distortions and singing just over a whisper, which illustrates the intimacy of the album. Her lyrics are personal, and are sincere expressions of sensuality; with the use of instruments like the harpsichord, music box, and chimes, her songs become reminiscent of fantastical lullabies in the snow. “Pagan Poetry” was the second song to be taken from the Vespertine album as a single.
