What italian music artists would you recommend?

Hey guys, I heard that there is a possibility to learn italian while listening to italian music. Well I know that it's not enough (you got to learn the normal way as well). But can you recommend me any italian music artists for that matter? Thank you.

  1. don't know any!!! ]: sorry.
  2. Yep, listening (and singing) to songs in another language is a great way to learn pronunciation! Eros Ramazzotti is good start you off, he sings pop music and is fairly easy understand. There is tons of opera music in Italian, (think Pavarotti or La Boheme) which is a bit harder to make out, but is still good if you want some background music while studying. Cher even as a few songs in Italian. Check out the italian itunes store to find other stuff to suit your tastes. ;) good luck, Italian is a beautiful language!
  3. paulo conte. he rules
  4. Paolo Meneguzzi.
  5. Hi , I'm italian . I recommed you these singers: Luciano Pavarotti. Laura Pausini. Eros Ramazzotti. Lucio Battisti. Alex Britti. Nek. Luciano Ligabue. Domenico Modugno. These are very good singers, Their speach is easy
  6. Well, I agree with joann, but I don't think you should listen to pavarotti, i don't understand most of the things he says while singing (By the way, i'm Italian and I've always lived in Italy!), there are some singers who sing very slowly, so they're easy to understand! Good luck!!

  10. I think it's a great idea! You will learn a lot! Try to listen to these singers, I think their voices are clear enough for that matter: Marco Carta (pop melodic, very popular right now) Fabri Fibra (italian rap, very easy to understand, particularly the song "In Italia" e "Bugiardo") Gianna Nannini (the "rockest woman") Luciano Ligabue (rock pop, try "Certe notti", very nice) Vasco Rossi (the most famous rocker in Italy) Subsonica (electro pop) Franco Battiato (it's a "philosophic singer", some of his texts cuold appear not very clear to you, but try some) Articolo 31 (the most famous italian rappers) and J Ax, the singer (a bit rocker now) Sergio Caputo (old smart style, still very nice) Eros Ramazzotti and Laura Pusini are icons and of course you can understand a lot listening to their songs, but they are not really popular and "fresh" right now, so I recommend the other ones. Strangers got an "ancient idea" of italian music, but as you will see we got very modern singers, so you can learn a live, really spoken language and... listening to good music! Baci dall'Italia e dal Comandante!
