Can anyone recommend a site to download music from that is safe to use?
I like to download music and movies but you hear so many horror stories about ending up with viruses and or spyware from using some of these websites that it makes me a little nervous. I would prefer a site that doesn't charge you for downloading but I wouldn't mind paying a small fee for using their site as long as I know that it is safe to do so and legal. So if anyone can make a recommendation based on their own knowledge or you have friends that use a particular site I would appreciate the information. Thank-you.

- Stop stealing and go to I-tunes
- Morpheus is a very safe site and free.
- I've used limewire for a long time now and never had any problems with it and neither have any of my friends. Google it and download it.
- Bearshare, just make sure you have a good adware program running in the background like adaware. It is a free problem and I have never had any problems.

- Try www.allofmp3.com. Their songs run about $0.12-$0.15 for a typical song. Shorter songs are less becaus pricing is based on the file size. For instance, longer, 7-minute songs will cost about $0.20. It has no spyware, pop-ups, ad-ware, viruses, or anything like that AND (most importantly) it's LEGAL!!! I've been using it for a couple years, and if you add, let's say $10, to your account, you could download more than 70 songs on average. Or if you want to buy the entire CD, it usually costs less than $2 per album. I have not had a SINGLE PROBLEM since I started using it, and I never have to worry about getting fined or going to jail. Give it a shot! Hope you enjoy!!
