1. If you just want to listen to some radio stations it is free I am listening to it right now but there are some that aren't but they are more into all kinds of radio kinda like sirus that you would have to pay for, but the free version has a big variety of stations.
2. It used to be. They just established a monthly limit for their free portion of the service. Reach that limit, and they cut you off now. I just had that happen today. It used to be that they had a reduced service after the monthly limit. Apparently that wasn't working for them. I'm looking for a new service that's similar. A few people thing that www.pandora.com is a worthy replacement.
